Goodview Gardens: Welcome

SERVING OUR RESIDENTS

MERDEKA GENERATION APPRECIATION CEREMONY

The Merdeka Appreciation Ceremony was held on 8th June 2019. Seniors got a chance to learn more about the benefits of the Merdeka Generation Pakage. Eligible seniors also received Merdeka Generation Package welcome folders at the event. The Merdeka Generation Package is meant to honour and thank the Merdeka Generation for their invaluable contributions to Singapore. Benefits include yearly Medisave top-ups of $200 as well as outpatient care subsidies.

MONTHLY BREAKFAST, MONTHLY BONDING

Every month residents and I get together to enjoy a hearty breakfast. I always have a good time getting to know residents better. Residents get to mingle with their neighbours and make new friends. We also invite speakers from various organisations, such as SkillsFuture, to provide useful tips to residents during the gathering. That means you can enjoy a meal and learn something new. Do come by and join us for our next breakfast gathering!

IMPROVING YOUR ESTATE

UPCOMING ROTARY ELDERCARE & CAREGIVERS CENTRE

We are working with the Foundation of Rotary Clubs (Singapore) to set up the Rotary Eldercare & Caregivers Centre. The centre will organise programmes catered specifically to seniors and their caregivers. It aims to provide support in three main areas: wellness, personal growth and social connectivity. Approximately 2,500 seniors and caregivers living around Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 are expected to benefit. The centre is expected to open in 2020 so do look out for it!

BETTER PLAYGROUNDS

The playgrounds at Blocks 384 and 391 have been upgraded. They are now bigger and better!

$2.18M REPAINTING, REPAIR & REDECORATION (R&R) PROJECT

Blocks 383 to 395 and the coffee shop at Block 395A at Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 were restored under the Repainting, Repair & Redecoration (R&R) project. The scope of work included the reproofing of facades, rectification of uneven drains and apron surfaces, repainting of car parks, and the repair and repainting of residential blocks.

OTHER IMPROVEMENTS:
$194K REPAINTING & REPARATION PROJECT AT BLOCK 395A MSCP,
$109K PROJECT TO UPGRADE AMENITIES,
$70K IMPROVEMENTS TO LIFT LOBBIES

The Mulit-Storey Car Park at Block 395A Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 has undergone repainting and reparation works. Its colour scheme now matches that of the surrounding residential blocks.

As part of our efforts to improve and upkeep our estate, we have installed new exercising equipment at the fitness corners of Blocks 383 and 392. We have also introduced a community garden near Block 391 so that avid gardeners can flex their green thumbs.

To enhance safety during periods of rain, the floor tiles at the lift lobbies of Blocks 383 to 395 have been replaced with anti-slip ones. More lights have also been introduced to the lift lobbies to increase visibility.
