HILLVIEW COMMUNITY CENTRE - THE NEW CC IN TOWN
Hillview Community Club was officially launched on 5th May 2019, with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong officiating the event.
We’ve answered your calls to build an eco-friendly CC. Lush greenery has been incorporated into the design of Hillview CC. There’s even a rain-harvesting system to water the plants in the CC as well as a community garden for botanical enthusiasts. You can also find many family-oriented recreational amenities like a childcare centre, a minimart, a dance studio, a cooking studio and a multi-purpose hall. Do check out the variety of programmes for all ages!
Did You Know?
On a constituency tour in 1963, Mr Lee Kuan Yew laid a brick that became part of the foundation stone of Princess Elizabeth Estate Community Centre. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong accompanied his father at the event. 56 years later, PM Lee placed a symbolic brick where the centre used to be during the launch of Hillview CC.
HEART WELLNESS CENTRE
Singapore Heart Foundation opened its 3rd Heart Wellness Centre at Bukit Gombak Sports Centre. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in Singapore. The Heart Wellness Centre's cardiac rehabilitation programme offers facilities, equipment and multidisciplinary healthcare expertise catered specially to cardiac patients and those at risk. At-risk individuals include those diagnosed with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, stroke, diabetes and obesity. These individuals can seek help in risk factor modification from cardiac physiotherapists and nutritionists at the centre.
